Three bored Empire State University students create an imaginary villain called "Blaze" to harass Spider-Man. However, the prank goes too far; and the Human Torch and Captain Jean DeWolff have to get involved to teach the students a lesson. (Notes: This issue begins Peter David's writing on the Spectacular Spider-Man title.
