Owner's Description
In Issue #54, Baron Tyrano, calling himself Iron Lung (because he is literally living in an Iron Lung), devises a plot to use a special human shaped missile to split Green Lantern and Hal Jordan into two distinct personalities
When the plan succeeds, Iron Lung has Green Lantern captured when his ring runs out of power and binds him to a machine that will switch their bodies. Meanwhile, Hal Jordan rushes back to his room and gets his power battery, and manages to break into Tyrano's mansion and bring it to Green Lantern, allowing his alterego recharge his power ring. The two then help break up Tyrano's organization, and afterwards Green Lantern and Hal remerge into one entity and Tyrano and his men are turned over to the police.
We initially owned the Pacific Coast copy of this book, which we acquired from the November 2011 auction on CL of what was at that time the #1 Green Lantern registry set. But it was a 9.6 and when the opportunity arose to acquire this Rocky Mountain Pedigree 9.8, which is the single highest graded copy, we made the switch. We acquired It in a private transaction from a friend in 2019.
