I turned this over with issue six and the issue 1 special. I had the opportunity to have this signed by three different contributors. I was introduced to Groo by my best friend in junior high. At the time I thought, there are too many words. I found this Pacific Comics copy with all the others. Issue 1 and two were returned, but each got a 9.6. I’m not sure what my goal is for this set, but it will be very difficult to top this one.

This was the least of the three I had turned over. It was the one I didn’t think would get a 9.8, but it was my favorite cover...mainly because of the back cover. Not only did Sergio Aragonés sign it on the front, he signed it backwards on the back. Two spine ticks kept this from a 9.8, most notably the one against the yellow background of the cover. I will resubmit to CCS and have the regrade it. All the other books in this series will need a press before grading, so it’s nice that I had at least two that were a 9.8 without pressing. It’s a shame this one wasn’t good enough.
