1st appearance of Cornell Cottonmouth. Mark Jewelers Insert! Not pressed. I'm a simple collector, but pressing these days is almost a must, although for this series it is seldom posted. Some really good stories that can make the grade, whether it be a gangster named Cotton Mouth Cornell or drug kingpin underlings that want to "insert 'pun'ishment!!" These Mark Jewelers are just too fun to find in the wild, even on a whim. Bought in 2021 from a live Facebook feed from local comic shop Duncanville Bookstore! It was a claim style auction, where they post book info and price, and if you're interested and the 1st to post claim, "anything you want, you got it!" A little smooth talking and these comics will be well read, with the bronze age writing style. Bought raw for $23 shipped, then the $25 to grade, a total under $50! I'll take it to the bank. Especially for the long haul in this kind of hobby and collecting.
Complete with a back cover picture of the prescreen pass before released to theaters of, "Stuber!" An officer of the law recovering from eye surgery and who's partners death needs rectifying, hires an Uber stoner driver to help drive on the police officers' sick days from eye surgery. Much like Luke Cage whose informant died in this issue and needs a new way for justice to happen! With mark jewelers being sold only at military bases and this officer in film being none other than Dave Bautista that played Drax in Guardians of the Galaxy, makes this a win-win! This isn't so much rocket science, but with a villain's name like Cottonmouth, Luke Cage gets snakes at his door and similarly Dave Bautista "The Animal" Drax actor brings stoners or heroin addicts to justice! Parallels of being a heroine!
