Batman rescues a young boy from a submarine where he is being held histage, before having to fight off the kidnapper, Killer Croc. He considers this rather strange, as Croc is not normally a kidnapper, but soon has to take off in pursuit of Catwoman, who (under the thrall of Poison Ivy) has made off with the ransom money. Before he can catch her, however, someone cuts his line and he falls to the street below.
