Maggie and Glenn meet up with Hershel who is waiting in their cell. Hershel informs them of the news about Allen, and later gives Maggie permission to be with Glenn.
While farming outside, Axel speaks of his displeasure towards the zombies. He feels bad for them because they were once everyday people, just like the ones inside the prison. Rather than fighting with him, Hershel partakes in conversation with him, developing a friendship.
Upset over seeing Michonne pleasure Tyreese, Carol kicks him out of their shared cell. Upset, she turns to Rick for comfort. The next day, Rick asks Lori to talk to Carol to help her feel better, but upon arriving at her cell, they find her laying on the bed with her wrists slit.
