Owner's Description

Signature Series. Signed by Robert Kirkman. Signed and sketch by Charlie Adlard. Charlie did an excellent detailed Governor Head sketch in black ink.

Issue #43. A gravely wounded Governor is found by his men and are shocked by the savagery inflicted on him by Michonne (See issue 33). Town drunk and former army medic, Bob Stokes is recruited to treat him. The Governor is later informed that Martinez was killed.

The Governor addresses the Woodbury community about Rick and his group and how dangerous they are. He convinces the riled up crowd about how maimed and gored by this group. He then presents the zombified head of Martinez to the crowd stating that Rick's group are savage murderers. He asks for support and help in finding the prison, and makes a case to go after them.

The Governor is seen taking out all of Penny's teeth. He kisses her with an open mouth, and immediately vomits from the putrid taste. He is unaffected in terms of being infected by blood and saliva transfer.

An explosion at the nearby National Guard Lot is reported to the Governor. The Governor and a small team go to investigate. They find the fuel pumps sabotaged and Bruce and the Governor's men dying from a being shot up. The Governor shoots Bruce in the head as a mercy killing. It apparent that Rick's group was responsible for this attack. He orders his henchmen to try find the prison. The henchmen successfully located the prison and report back to the Governor. They plan an attack in three to four week, with the intention that Rick's group will have their guard down if the attack is delayed instead of immediate.

A couple weeks pass and we see the Governor in a tank leading a heavily armed Woodbury group towards an attack at the prison gates. The Governor returns.....with a vengeance.
