THIS IS WHERE IT BEGAN, FOLKS!
This was the first issue from this series that I ever owned and read and looked through. It was in 1986 when my father and I first started our journey into the world of comic book collecting.
The first series we started with was The Further Adventures of Indiana Jones. We saw a copy of #33 in a bookstore and decided to go searching for other issues in the series. Of course, we would be saddened ultimately by the knowledge that the very next issue would be the last one of that series.
But the second series we started collecting was New Mutants, beginning with this issue! I absolutely loved the artwork and the story, even not being familiar with the characters or current plot lines at the time. My father and I again started the process of finding all of the back issues to collect and read and catch up with the story.
This particular issue, therefore holds many, many fond memories for me since it was my first foray into the wonderful world of Marvel Mutants!
Having a copy in 9.8 is a joy!

Having my big brother, Tnerb be the one to get it signed for me at the 2013 NYCC is the biggest joy of all!!!
I love the sig placement on it! I purposefully wanted Bill Sienkiewicz to sign it right up the side of the sword. I LOVE IT!!
