This has partially the same sad story as issue 18. My first copy of this being an S 9.8 was shipped with 18. Both are somewhere in the missing realm of things stolen by the USPS. I did originally buy another as I did with 18, and as with 18, it was off-white to white pages.
Eventually I found a universal copy and cracked it for signing. It retained and now I am the proud owner of a double signature SS copy.
Picking this up off the shelf in the 7-11 I thought that the crappy artist still had a job and I trudged along with the characters I fell in love with. Chris Claremont weaved such a tale, i dare say it was better than the X-Men. Even the StarJammers appear. Bill Sienkiewicz did such a great job.The mass and scale of the demon bear not only lurking, but up front and in your face. This is a much needed sinister improvement over the last cover it was on, and I mean issue 3, not 18.
CannonBall has now been on 15 out of the first 19 issues, and on 11 of those he is "blasting" through the air(or trying too). I am beginning to think, he very well might be Marvel's favorite at this point.
