On the weekend of the Steelers first home game of the new NFL season, CGC braved through the sea of yellow and black jerseys and attended the Pittsburgh Comic-Con in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The show kicked off on Friday, September 11th with a guest list that included comic book talent Adam Hughes, Allison Sohn, Ron Frenz, Greg Horn, Mike McKone, Talent Caldwell and headlined by comic legend, Stan Lee.
Throughout the weekend CGC received about 800 books, with a large amount of these being Stan Lee Signature Series submissions. Additional Signature Series requests were Adam Hughes, Scott McDaniel, Ron Frenz, Stuart Sayger, Billy Tucci, Mike McKone, Tommy Castillo, and Mike Lilly. Various sketch covers were again popular being submitted by those who were able to obtain the sketches from attending artists.
CGC would like to thank Chandler and Sharon Rice of Desert Wind Comics for coordinating the Stan Lee signing and witnessing and would also like to congratulate Eric Holt, who won the Stan Lee meet and greet raffle provided by Desert Wind Comics.
