Owner's Description

This is the Wizard "Authentic Edition" of Wolverine issue #1/2, which was published in 1997 and was accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) - which is not pictured here. In addition, the cover & art was created by Mr. Joe Phillips!

Moreover, this was a self-submission to the CGC. Further, due to the fact that this particular issue is rare and difficult to find, this is a highly respectable 9.6!

To give you an idea of how rare this book is, my self-submitted copy is the highest graded copy to currently exist! It was the 1st copy graded as a Universal 9.6 (Near Mint +) and remains the ONLY one in existence - according to the CGC Census Report, as of 6/8/2012!

There were only two (2) other copies of this issue graded by the CGC; one was graded as a Qualified 9.6 and the other one was graded as a Qualified 8.5! Therefore, this copy is the #1 copy currently graded by the CGC!

If I have the opportunity to upgrade to a 9.8 sometime in the near future - that would be great! If not, I am content with this perfectly centered 9.6 gem!
