ISSUE SYNOPSIS: Spawn the Impaler (part 3 of 3)

The church tires of the Imapler’s violence and seeks out Bey in order to destroy Vlad once and for all. Bey is given a special sword and is instructed to anchor it into the chest of the Impaler. They weaken him with religious symbols and eventually trap him inside of a coffin. Bey takes the sword and drives it directly into the Impaler’s heart. His grave is covered by an altar stone to prevent anyone from ever removing the stake. The world changes a great deal with Vlad in the ground. Violence and heartless affairs, the violation of the holy church, and many other terrible things continue to plague the earth.

Eventually the Hellspawn visits Abbie, who begins to unravel their mysterious connection. Concerned about the revelation, she begins to attack the Hellspawn, who eventually recovers from her initial attack in time to throw her off the roof. During her fall, she is impaled by an architectural spire. It is revealed that Abbie was actually Bey in reincarnated form. The Hellspawn thus succeeds in sending his arch-enemy to hell.
