ISSUE SYNOPSIS: - The Bridge (part 1 of 2)

Even though he is Japanese by heritage, Ben Nakadai is hardly excited to visit his ancestral homeland. During his first night on business in Japan, Nakadai can barely sleep as he struggles with cryptic dreams that haunt him the following morning. Nakadai visits the hotel bar, where he meets the demon Mammon, who is disguised as a mysterious individual known as Mykoto. Through their conversation, Nakadai learns of his Samurai forefathers by listening to the tale of his great warrior ancestor, Lord Isanagi Nakadai. Even though the story is cut short by a phone call, Nakadai can’t help but to reflect on his ancestry, even as a violent thunderstorm hints at the violence to come.
