Owner's Description

“Reunion” Bobby, Hank, and Warren are in a taxi on their way to Scott and Jean’s cabin in Anchorage. Bobby is excited at the sight of a caribou. Warren expresses some troubles in his relationship with Betsy Braddock, Psylocke. Suddenly, a big crow falls from the sky and cracks the windshield, forcing the taxi run over a moose. Bobby has a flashback that explains that the three of them are in Anchorage after receiving a message from an out of character Scott, voicing concerns about Jean’s powers.

The local sheriff, Chris Miller, comes and puts the moose out of its misery. Bobby sees a strange man but by the time Hank turns around he is gone and he tells Bobby it’s just his imagination. Hank mentions Scott and Jean’s names and the sheriff tells them that he is their neighbor and offers to give them a ride.
Back in Westchester, Logan is talking to a newly transformed Karl Lykos, who tries to convince Logan to release him. Rogue comes out wearing her old costume and says she is going to the city. She asks Logan if she should take Lykos to the Fantastic Four, but Logan says S.H.I.E.L.D. should be there soon. Lykos continues to agitate Logan and he pops his claws. Logan expresses his concern of Rogue’s apparel but she just shrugs it off. As Rogue flies in to the distance, a flash of light knocks Logan to the ground. When he gets up, Lykos is gone, taken by S.H.I.E.L.D.

In Anchorage, Hank, Bobby, and Warren arrive at Scott and Jean’s cabin where they are introduced to the Chris’s wife Staci and her sister Melissa. The sheriff and company leave as the original X-Men enter the cabin. Jean asks why Scott felt the need for a sudden reunion and Scott says the original X-Men need to reflect on their time as X-Men. Beast knows that’s not the truth and asks Scott to help him unload some baggage upstairs. Jean senses Warren’s anxiety and asks if it’s about Betsy. Warren says yes and asks how she and Scott manage. Jean says it’s a lot of work as Bobby misses a chip he tried to catch with his mouth.
Upstairs Scott says he is concerned about Jean wearing her old Phoenix costume in light of the recent Onslaught incident. Hank reminds Scott that Jean can’t be the Phoenix because she never was, the alien entity had created a duplicate of her. Scott says he just wants to make sure so he doesn’t have to go through the trauma of losing Jean again. Scott begins contemplating the real power of psi’s. Back downstairs, as Bobby starts a fire, Jean says she originally fell for Scott because while the other three men were trying to make an impression, Scott offered her a chair. Scott expresses his concern of the recruitment of Joseph as Hank reads a newspaper discussing the local trouble with Inuit holy ground. Hank says that maybe they should search for the missing Xavier. Jean says she already searched the world mentally and there was no trace. The cabin begins to fill with smoke and Scott tells Bobby to blast some ice up the chimney to clear it. Warren flies up to the roof and finds a large, dead bird. On the ground, the Melissa tells Staci she sees a big, blond bird on top of Scott and Jean’s roof.

In Manhattan, Rogue sees Dr. Agee, the doctor who can supposedly remove mutants’ powers, leaving a building labeled “Mutopia.” After questioning the receptionist, Rogue learns Mutopia works on “genetic stuff.” Rogue drops in on Dr. Agee and confronts him about his visit to Mutopia. Dr. Agee claims he was that they offered him a position and he, of course, declined. Rogue begins to trust Dr. Agee once again.
Back in Anchorage, the gang is heading to dinner when they are blocked by a large riot. Chris says that the riot is an Inuit protest. Bobby again sees the strange crow man, who says he is the crow god Chulyen. Bobby is disappointed when the crow man disappears before anyone else can see him. At dinner, Scott says he’s been doing a lot of thinking, he thinks that maybe Professor Xavier’s dream should be reconsidered and replaced by their own dream. Outside, crows begin to fill the sky.

Scott and Jean befriended the Millers during their flight to Alaska in Uncanny X-Men #352.
