This issue reveals that Mesmero is working for X-Men arch nemesis Magneto. This issue also reveals that Lorna Dane is Magneto’s daughter. Jim Steranko’s run on the interior art concludes with this issue. The cover of this issue marks the first use of the three-dimensional X-Men logo that would continue through today.
