Owner's Description

Pink Panther started out as the opening title sequence of the original 1963 Pink Panther film. He was such a hit, a series of animated shorts featuring the cartoon character were made in the mid and late 1960s. By the late 1960s, Pink Panther had made his way onto Saturday Morning Television.<br /><br />Pink Panther had his start in comics with the first issue of his own series in April, 1971, published by Gold Key / Whitman comics. The series continued for 87 issues until 1984. He also appeared in several issues of the Shoe Store giveaway comic March of Comics. <br /><br />The Pink Panther Kite Fun Book was prepared / copyrighted in late 1972 for distribution in spring of 1973. A file copy is known dated 11/28/1972. <br /><br />This copy was distributed by Southern California Edison. Currently, Pacific Gas and Electric, Southern California Edison, Missouri Public Services Company and a generic variety with blank indicia boxes have been graded by CGC. Don Christensen and Kellog Adams are noted as associated with the production of this book.<br /><br />Population Statistics (Missouri Public Services Company): This CGC 8.5 is the only certified copy of this variant.
