Owner's Description

The Road Runner and his nemesis Wily E Coyote first appeared in the short film "Fast and Furry-ous" on Sept 11, 1949. The pair went on to make many other shorts in the following 6 decades.<br /><br />The first comic of this duo was in Four Color #918 dated July, 1958. They went on to appear in many other comics, including 99 issues of their own series from Gold Key / Whitman. This is the second Road Runner Kite Fun Book, the first was in 1967. It was not their last, either.<br /><br />This Road Runner Kite Fun Book was prepared in late 1967, with a 1967 copyright, and distributed to schools in the spring of 1968. Don Christensen and Kellog Adams are noted as associated with the production of this book.<br /><br />Currently, three variants are known: Southern California Edison, Pacific Gas and Electric and, once again, the blank indicia box variant. The back cover of has six safety rules on the SCE editions, while the others each have 8 safety rules.<br /><br />This CGC 5.0 very good / fine with off-white pages is the sole certified Pacific Gas and Electric variant of this Kite Fun Book (as of 6/16/2010.)<br /><br />No word currently on what's inside. That update will have to wait until I find another "raw" copy.<br /><br /><br />
