Set Description
I have always been a huge Flash fanatic - since I was a kid, in fact. A few years ago, however, I bought a couple Golden Age Flash Comics, almost on a lark. Jay Garrick was always thought to be impossible for me. Aside from issues being tough to find, certain ones can be pretty pricey too. In the beginning, I never even fathomed going for a run. But, I guess I caught "the bug" with those first few issues.
Fast forward, and I'm now over 90% done with the run. The fun thing about assembling a Golden Age run is that money is only part of the challenge. The higher hurdle is finding a copy in the grade you target. For some issues, I've only seen a handful, in total, over a multi-year span. And, because of that, I've had to dip below my FN-ish range here and there. I'm sure I'll upgrade, but my priority now (save for a few outliers) is to complete the run.
Flash is fast. This process isn't. Oddly, I hate that as much as I like it. I'll get there eventually - just not with the aid of the Speed Force.
