I am not new to coin collecting, but now getting back into it. Years ago I collected many types of coins including gold. I still have many of my old coins. I remember I paid $50.00 for a $20.00 U.S. gold coin in the late 60's. I still have this coin today. I got away from collecting because of school, sports and work. Now that I am retired, I have sometime on my hands, so this is a great hobby for me. Not too long ago (April 12, 2011) I had a liver transplant at Mayo Clinic. I am doing well and still healing up. I have some restrictions on activities, so no deep sea fishing, sports or anything like that. The collecting of coins keeps me busy and I am learning more things every day. I wish that in the old day's they had the grading services and the web around like they do today. These services advance the hobby and end many disputes.
