Hi, I am Pastor Steve from the far north, Alaska. I was born and raised in southwest Pennsylvania and it was there that I spent most of my life. My father brought home two comics for my brother and I in 1963; X-Men #2 and Spider-Man #7 and that began my journey into the Marvel Universe. In the late 70's I began selling at shows to raise money for my hobby and by 1980 I began Cavalier Comics going to comic book and baseball card shows in the north east area. In 1990 I felt called into the ministry and sold off the bulk of my comics. Over the last 10 years I have begun collecting comics and cards once more; mostly from the period of my childhood, the Silver Age. It is amazing how they remind me of my youth, especially when I pick up a book that I remember buying new off the stand. I have expanded my collecting to the Golden Age as well.
I am a bi-vocational pastor of a small church here in Alaska and I love to fish as well as collecting. I fly-fish for salmon and trout and love to go out in Cook Inlet, the Pacific, in our 14' Zodiak raft for Halibut. We have had a lot of great adventures on the water and some neat animal encounters. I will end though with one final tidbit; if an Alaskan says:"bear with me" start running, he's not asking you to be patient!
