I started collecting foreign currency after finally getting around to clearing out my bedside table of all the leftover foreign currency I'd kept after 20 years of international business travel, only to find that most of the notes (especially from Europe) were no longer legal tender and couldn't be exchanged.
The Bahamas is a special place for me. I lived there for several years, long before I started collecting banknotes. So many of the now very collectible Bahamas banknotes from the 1970’s, 80’s & 90’s, passed through my hands back then. I never contemplated, that one day, I would be on a multi-year quest to have one of each denomination in my hands once again.
