dr dave kuykendall's Bio
I was born in the middle of the 20th century, educated by a superb school system, and earned a Ph.D. in biological science when I was only 23. I now have spent, as of this writing, over 35 years doing scientific research. About 110 published, peer-reviewed articles in research journals and book chapters are my professional legacy thus far. As a graduate student I enjoyed relaxing with U.S. coins as a hobby.
Largely dormant except reading Coinage for the next 30 years, my interest in coin collecting was rekindled just a few years ago, well into the 21st century, by the advance of middle age. It's a hobby of a lifetime for me, but so is tropical fish keeping. The latter is too much work.
