Violent-Delights's Bio
In the summer of 2020 during the early stages of COVID lockdown and isolation, I soothed my boredom and anxiety by reading comic books and graphic novels, which I hadn’t done since I was 10 years old. I was looking for new works of literature to introduce into my English classes and thought that some graphic novels would be fun. I also had the extra time to dust off some of my old comic books from the early 80s. I had no idea of what to do with them; however, I was reluctant to toss them.
Before I realized it, I was sucked into a world of collecting that was unheard of in the early 1980s. I quickly learned terms like "grading," "slabs," "variants," "exclusives," "ratio incentives," and many others.
I became a member of CGC in October of 2020, and got obsessed grading complete sets of series I was collecting. Mercy, Something is Killing the Children, Phantom Starkiller, and Razorblades are a few of the modern titles that I am hoping to complete before I move on to others.
