My name is Richard. I'm 43, and I'm a psychiatrist in Austin, Texas. I began my interest in numismatics in the late 1970s. My grandmother and grandfather shared some of the great classic American coins with me. I was hooked.The coins were more than just mere loose change.My grandparents and I would think about the times, historical events, and even the famous people that could have potentially spent one of those old coins.Silver dollars, half dollars, and type coins are my favorites. I began collecting more seriously about 5 years ago. I've been entering my coins over the last month, and I must say that I am amazed and impressed by so many of the sets I see.To all- happy collecting.
