"Somewhere else...

...Doomsday is here!"

I was fortunate to get this piece at the time I did for the price I did, two other 9.8 examples of this issue sold for $375 each in the first few months of 2021. I also pulled a raw copy in 2016 that became a CGC 9.8 in 2021, and I only paid $3.00. This very piece was the first copy of this issue to be graded CGC 9.8 way back in 2008.

Aside from being a part of the Doomsday teaser campaign and my childhood nostalgia, I really enjoy this cover. The full moon setting makes for a unique and haunting cover seldom seen in Superman books. This issue also recognizes the passing of Superman co-creator Joe Shuster (1914-1992).
