With respect to the talent of artist Bob Oksner, who did some terrific covers for Action Comics, along with several other titles for the Superman family during the mid-1970s, this cover does little to stand out in the run. Something is missing, still, this cover is far from terrible; perhaps the title logo occupies too much space? However, this piece really struck me when I held it in my hands for the first time. The cover gloss is still bold, with vibrant colors. The dark green at the top and bottom would show any sign of stress, making this issue tough to find in high grade. The white area of the cover is also clean, the exceptional freshness of this piece makes this a welcome addition to my collection.
