Owner's Description
This is one of the first books I owned that I desired to be graded. I thought it would have been a perfect 9.4 not even ever daring to dream I would ever own anything greater. Alas it was only a 9.2. To this day I still want to find out why such a low rating. It has white pages and the cover still shines that vibrant yellow as it did on the day i bought it. I don't know how much I spent on this book. I just knew that when I got it I secretly placed it away in my box with the other Amazing Spider Mans never telling my dad how much I purchased it for. Although to be honest I think I may have traded in my Iron Man #1 for it all those years ago. A trade I will never regret.
This was one of the books I had to have signed by Stan Lee. I also finally got the grade I always thought it would be but they also changed the pages from white to off-white to white. Something I still do not understand. Either way....STAN LEE.
Comic Update...this book is now also signed by John Romita.
Almost two years later I had the book graded again, this time I had the book pressed by Matt Nelson from Classics Incorporated, now with CGC themselves. I wasn't expecting the knock on the door. I have to admit that when I have trouble with the small differences between a 9.6 and a 9.8, the difference between a 9.4 and a 9.6 is aesthetically pleasing.
