Owner's Description
This is the fourth book from Bill (William) Hughes legendary Conan set that I have the great honor to include in my primary Conan the Barbarian set. The three other books are #1, #12 and #21.
Although this book is not part of a pedigree collection, it does have an amazing history. I'm guessing around the year 2006, the book was sold to the brothers Carlo and Paul (CarlD). There it stayed for about 7 years, until it was sold at Comiclink to "Barry James" for an amazing $ 3,495.00 in 2013. Thus this book has the record of being the most expensive Annual #1 ever sold.
Furthermore this may be the most perfectly centered Annual #1 CGC 9.8 book and the same goes for the cover orientation. Even though this book has OW-W page quality, it stands as tall as many other books in this set.
The book contains a reprint of Conan the Barbarian issues 2 and 4, and the Barry Smith Conan cover is probably his best Conan cover ever.
