Three primary colors make this "inside the cockpit" cover really stand out, your eyes are naturally drawn to the orange/brown co-pilot in the mid ground and the yellow background is very noticeable with a fighter coming in at an angle before you realize that the pilot is inked in blue and that his oxygen hose has been severed by a bullet!
The likelihood that these two are not going to get out of this alive making this a dramatic and effective cover.
The back cover pictures three famous contemporary athletes , Joe Louis, Bob cousy and Mickey Mantle !!
