Owner's Description
This is the Collector's Edition of the first appearance of The Man of Tomorrow. The Man of Tomorrow is later referred to as Cyborg Superman. It could have been that this was truly a resurrected Superman as his cybernetic parts seemed to line up pretty closely with the wounds the Man of Steel received at the hands of Doomsday.
The four die-cut cover books were one of the first sets within this set that I worked on gathering after I had put together the Doomsday portion of the storyline and a few others, like all printings of Adventures of Superman 500. This is one of four books that I got in a trade for Superman 75 and Adventures of Superman 500 Platinum Editions both graded 9.6.
This book was in my competitive set all the way until it was all 9.8 and above! I replaced it with a Dan Jurgens Signature Series 9.8 afterwards in order to keep improving that set. In my heart I will always prefer a Universal 9.8 copy of any book over a Signature Series but I also like to have a signed 9.8 as well, AND the registry rewards the effort... so why not!?
