Owner's Description
Nice centering a near-perfect cover orientation, and very hard to find with pure white pages. In October 2018 only 3 books had been graded 9.8 and better.
This was the first Astonishing Tales issue with a 20-cent cover price.
Cover pencils were done by Gil Kane, inks by Frank Giacoia.
The books contrain the following stories:
1) The Legend of the Lizard Men!, script by Stan Lee, art by John Buscema. Ka-Zar goes in search of missing women and men from a local village, he finds the woman, Iranda and the Lizard Men.
2) Tom-Toms of Danger!, script by Don Rico, art by Jay Scott Pike. Moki uses the sound of Tom-Tom's to drive all of the Gabu into a war frenzy so that he can take over the jungle.
3) The Green Opal! starring Lorna, the Jungle Girl, script by Don Rico, art by Jay Scott Pike. Alexei and Subu surrender when The Green Opal warns them that if they dont stop abusing its name and power it will pursue them to the ends of the earth.
