Owner's Description

Star Wars 81: Jawas of Doom.

Writer: Mary Jo Duffy, Penciller: Ron Frenz, Inker: Tom Palmer and Tom Mandrake, Cover artist: Tom Palmer.

Signed by Jeremy Bulloch on 8/26/12 at Star Wars Celebration VI held in Orlando, FL.

Within the Star Wars collection, there were not many issues defined as KEY issues. However, the issues that included Boba Fett covers (issues 42, 68 and 81) have arguably been considered KEY or at least semi-KEY issues.

This was one of my favorite issues of the series. It was the fist post-Return of the Jedi issue in the old Expanded Universe. It featured a fun story set on Tatooine where Han Sole visited a bank at Mos Eisley. Han could not draw any money from his account because the bank interpreted that his assets were frozen (due to confusion with being frozen in carbonite earlier). This was also the first story to depict Boba Fett escaping the Sarlack Pit!
