After reading The Mighty Thor #700-706 I decided I needed to collect this set to add to the “Valkyrie: Jane Foster” set I am also working on. Both are great and well written. It will be fun to see how troubling this set is to collect. As I always say, the fun is in the chase, and the “chase” is what makes the memories enjoyable and long lasting.
The only headache I can see will be the 34 or so variant covers I must buy just for the first issue—God! What happened to just two or three different covers. Why make it so impossible to collect the whole set.
I know, it’s the bottom dollar that counts; nothing more. And I have to have them to complete the set.
But, to be honest, I didn’t think I would start this off so fast. When I saw this issue and the asking price, I had to get it. It was an incredibly great buy. I couldn’t ignore it. I doubt I will find another copy this low ever again.

This comic is the cheapest I have ever bought a CGC 9.8 comic. It beat out my copy of the “New Teen Titan #35” (CGC#0068765001) by a single penny. And, if you add in the difference in shipping cost, then this comic comes in $3.01 cheaper over the other; not bad. Guess bargain prices are my thing these days.
