The infamous betrayal of a "friend." A soft-spoken whisper that changed the course of history. This is the “Moment” Thor becomes unworthy. No longer is he able to wield Mjolnir. No God. No man. Neither can budge the scarce hammer left lying on the moon.

Synopsis for “Nick Fury Versus the World (Original Sin #7)
Flashback: Dr Midas and his gang arrived on the moon to rob the Watcher; Uatu spotted them and there was an explosion….
Now: Nick Fury, armored and bearing the advanced weaponry he wields as the "Man in the Wall" is battling the combined might of the Avengers in space—and he’s winning. Hulk goes crashing to the surface of the moon, stunned. Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Widow appeal to him to explain why he is acting this way but Fury refuses to answer, knowing that they wouldn’t understand until much later. Inside the space station, the heroes assembled by Fury to investigate the Watcher’s murder are debating what to do while wondering if any of them could be secretly working for Fury. At this point, the Orb walks in and blasts them …
…which segues into a flashback to the villains invading Uatu’s home earlier. The Watcher unleashed his wrath but held back because he had foreseen his death. Then the Orb shot him in the face…
Now: Nick Fury tangles with Thor in space; Fury whispers a secret in the Thunder God’s ear and suddenly Thor crashes into the moon and is now unable to lift Mjolnir. Fury then speaks the code that overrides Tony Stark’s control of his armor, sending Iron Man speeding toward Earth. As Cap continues to beg for an explanation, Fury grabs the Watchers’ eyes and takes off. The villains arrive on the moon; Orb blasts Hulk again and plans to learn the Watcher’s last secret—the one that killed him…. Fury arrives at the Watcher’s base unaware that he is being observed by seven other Watchers….

If you’re a “Jane Foster” fan, you got to have this issue—for without the “whisper,” Jane Foster would’ve never had the opportunity to become Thor, The Goddess of Thunder. Her belief that “there must always be a Thor” made her worthy to pick up Mjolnir. Her humanity sparked an incredible journey that ended in her death. She gave up her life for the survival of the universe and the realm. She defeated “Mangog;” a feat in which no God could accomplish…
…and then her miraculous resurrection leads her into becoming the last Valkyrie.

Another two copies listed on Ebay was going for $210 / $215 respectively.
I didn’t do too bad in buying this if I do say so myself. This issue’s importance and value will go up once “Jane Foster” becomes “Thor” on the big screen for Disney.
I had always wanted this issue, but the price kept putting me off. When I saw this one up for bid, I jumped on it. I guess nobody wanted it as bad as I did (my top bid was set at $169.00).
Anyway, thank-you for dropping by and looking around. I appreciate the visit.
