Owner's Description
Detective Comics 417
Wouldn't being "Batman for a night" be great; well, except for the dead sister part. Alas, sometimes getting what you want is not all its cracked up to be, case in point: the scene on the cover of Tec 417. A cover, I will add that although not the greatest in this run, nevertheless invokes admiration-if for no other reason than the groovy dress and super groovy belt worn by the corpse.
Tec 417 is one of the very few issues in this run where I enjoy the contents of the book much more than the cover art. Still, I have multiple copies of this book in its raw state. "Go figure."
Great cover.
Keeper, until a white paged perfectly centered 9.8 copy arrives on the scene. Such a copy, a Rocky Mountain Pedigree, reached this set on May 6(9), 2020.
Issue Credits (as per the CGC Universal Label):
Frank Robbins story
Neal Adams cover
Bob Brown, Dick Giordano, and Don Heck Art
Issue Notes (as per the CGC Universal Label): Rocky Mountain
