In the Empire Strikes back, check that, in O.G.R.E. Strikes Back, Krako, the twin brother of Aquaman's American intelligence contact the Tall Man, impersonates his brother and tricks Aquaman into "safeguarding" the United Nations with an impenetrable water barrier that actually imprisons them. O.G.R.E., Krako's organization, attempts to extort money from member nations for their delegates' release. Aquaman briefly becomes a fugitive due to his part in the plot, however inadvertent. But, with Mera's help, Aquaman releases the delegates, clears his name, and foils O.G.R.E. once again, just like Star Wars!
Our 9.6 copy of Issue #31 is tied with four others for highest graded as of June 2020. We acquired our book in the May 2020 CL auction.
2024 Update: There are now six 9.6s, but no 9.8s. Unfortunately, it’s probably just a matter of time before our book slips to second in the census.
