Owner's Description
Things are BOOMING in Coast City!
The battle is definitely heating up and villains are revealing their true intentions. Don't ever turn your back on Cyborg Superman!
The first 9.8 copy I had was one of four books that I got in a trade for Superman 75 and Adventures of Superman 500 Platinum Editions both graded 9.6. I later added this Signature Series book. I really like the placement of the signatures on this book and the yellow label is amazing with this cover!
I also really like the mail away figure in the second image slot even though, when I mailed away for it, I thought it was going to be carded. This was a ToyFare exclusive that came out in 1998, and arrived in a bag inside a small box. It was actually supposed to be part of the Man of Steel figure line but was not produced. It was very cool that it was later available through ToyFare. I was worried that they would run out before I got mine so I was very excited to finally receive it! I ordered a second one off of eBay years later so I could open one.
The Eradicator's hair looks much better on this figure than it does on the cover of this book!
There were a couple similar figures from the same line that were also available through the mail. They were a special Cyber-Link Superman and Batman, which you had to collect and mail in four UPC's each from various Kenner figures. I have those as well but they weren't as easy to get as the Eradicator... I was living in Japan at the time and did not have easy access to action figures to obtain the UPC's. The Base Exchange had a very small toy department of about two short aisles and to make it worse you had to compete with people that actually wanted toys for their kids, ha! Therefore, I would go there at lunch as often as possible to see if they had anything new, finally one day I went when they had just put figures out! I bought every one they had so I could have enough to open for both figures and to also have one each carded. Even though I was/am an adult these kinds of mail aways are still pretty fun!
