My son tells me that New Gods was originally envisioned by Kirby for Thor, but when he changed brands, he reinvented it for DC. It certainly makes sense. New Gods #1 features the first appearances of Orion, Lightray, Metron, High-Father and Kalibak. Our WP 9.8 is tied with about 50 other copies for highest graded. In other words, it is not rare, but nevertheless, not cheap either. We acquired our book from Bob Storms in March 2021.
