I purchased this special piece from friend and CGC forum member onlyweanknesskryptonite. He submitted two copies to CGC in 2021, both came back 9.8, to make the total in said grade only 3 in the census. I’m grateful to have this piece, my friend was the original owner, who purchased it from a comic shop as a new release, this book meant a lot to him and I will not forget that.
My friend Iconic1s sought out a raw copy for several months with no luck, but was able to obtain what was the lone 9.8 at the time from another CGC forum member. I highly recommend you check out his registry set and read his story about this book. Based on our shared experiences, I believe this to be the rarest of the later printings from the Death and Return of Superman storyline. I wasn’t aware a second printing existed until sometime in the early 2010s. I have yet to see a raw copy anywhere in person or online for sale.
