My Comicshop Purchase - February 2023. I had been waiting on this issue for years...hoping to come across one of the two (only two?) 9.8's on the CGC Census. Well, as of early 2023, there was still no movement on that front, but one of the eight 9.6's was offered by MyComicShop and I decided that it was time to fill another hole in my collection. There is certainly nothing wrong with a book in 9.6 condition.
I remember buying this issue when it was released in 1975 (as a 6 year old). That issue was well read and no longer exists. I did not have the foresight in 1975 to be buying comic books in the best condition I could find and carefully storing them for decades.
This issues features the fourth of five appearances by Ted Grant (aka Wildcat). I always kind of liked Wildcat, but he really is a lower-tier "super" hero. He is kind of like Batman without the detective skills, not as great a fighter and without the gadgets/technology that the Wayne empire can afford.
