Synopsis:
Wild-Bill arrives outside of Millville to reunite with a portion of the Joe team, triggering memories of the harrowing mission in the Middle East that left Snake-Eyes permanently scarred. The team members, including Scarlett, Rock & Roll, Stalker, and Hawk, can't help but think back on the events that led to Snake-Eyes' disfigurement and the bond that formed between him and Scarlett.
During that fateful mission, Snake-Eyes, Grunt, Rock & Roll, and Scarlett are aboard a helicopter when another helicopter crashes into them. Grunt and Rock & Roll escape unscathed, but Scarlett's webbing gets caught in the door. Snake-Eyes heroically saves her, but not before the other helicopter explodes, setting him on fire and severely damaging his vocal cords. Scarlett is rendered unconscious and taken for medical treatment while Snake-Eyes, Grunt, and Rock & Roll rendezvous with Stalker and proceed with the hostage rescue mission.
Scarlett awakens in the helicopter and notices her throwing stars are missing. Meanwhile, Snake-Eyes, now wearing bandages to cover his facial injuries, utilizes the throwing stars to infiltrate the building where the Cobra forces are holding George Strawhacker hostage. Snake-Eyes successfully rescues Strawhacker by outsmarting the two Cobra agents who both claim to be the real hostage.
During a debriefing session, Strawhacker inquires about the identity of the bandaged man who saved him, but Hawk is unable to reveal Snake-Eyes' identity, explaining that it is a highly classified secret. As Hawk recalls having to deliver the devastating news to Snake-Eyes that his family was killed in a car accident, he remembers the two pictures of Snake-Eyes' sister, one of which includes her fiancé, George Strawhacker.
Unbeknownst to Strawhacker, his fiancé's brother is the same man who saved his life twice—once in the Middle East and once from the Gulag in Borovia—highlighting the powerful bond and interconnectedness between Snake-Eyes, his family, and the man he risked everything to save.
