Green Lantern #63 here is one of the most significant yet undervalued comic books in the Green Lantern run as it is the first cover and artwork on Green Lantern by Neal Adams! Adams had one of the most significant runs on the title character and was essential in the revamping the series. On this striking Adams cover, we see Green Lantern exclaiming, "Has The World Ceased To Exist...Or Have I?" Well, if not for Adams coming on board with the title, perhaps Hal Jordan's comic book fate would have mirrored that of this cover theme. Fortunately, that was not to be the case! Due in no small part to the genius of Adams' artwork, this title would go on to become one of the most significant in the history of comic books that were put out in the 1970s.
Our copy is one of four 9.8s in the census as of May 2020. We acquired it in the CL auction of 9/1/2018.
