The Golden State collection was amassed by a meticulous collector residing in the San Francisco area who carefully filed away his newsstand copies each month. The core of the collection ranged from the early 60s to present, but also included a very impressive run of Golden Age as well.

"Out Of The Frying Pan... Into The Fire," script by Martin Pasko, art by Dan Spiegle; Carlos DiRienzi's manager contacts the Secret Six, while they complete their second assignment and decide to unmask Mockingbird. "Take Us to Our Leader" (Chapter 12), script by Mike Baron, pencils by Dan Jurgens, inks by Tony DeZuniga; Deadman helps to return "Satan" to Talaoc, as he is one of his comrades. "Where Lurks The Evil?", script by Roger Stern, pencils by Curt Swan, inks by John Beatty; Superman decides to search out Bob Galt's attackers, and they decide they must destroy Superman. "The Tin Roof Club" (Part 2), script by Mindy Newell, pencils by Barry Kitson, inks by Bruce Patterson; George Flannery attempts to arrest Catwoman but she escapes and tries to retrieve the stolen brooch from Holly. "Bitter Fruit" (Part 4), script by Sharon Wright, pencils by Randy DuBurke, inks by Pablo Marcos; Black Canary is knocked unconscious by Gary Demott and he tries to con her into showing him where she lives, while one of Vincent Scales men tries to kill Hector Librado. 52 pgs., full color. $1.50.
