Owners note:
with this issue Barack Obama made his second comic book appearance. This issue was published in August 2008 and at the time Obama was not US President yet, but only a US Senator. Obama only appears on the cover and not inside the comic. This copy is the famous first print variant with Yellow / Greenish background and Green Savage Dragon logo.
Barack Obama appeared in Savage Dragon again in issue 145, this time both inside the comics and on two out the three different cover variants.
Fun note:
the second picture shows my 9.6 graded copy.
When this issue was released, this copy was first shipped from US to my local comic book store Fantask in Copenhagen, Denmark and then shipped to my home address as part of my monthly subscription.Then I had it in my collection from 2008 to 2016 and I even read it a few times. In October 2016 I took it from Denmark to NYCC, and had it pressed before submitting it. And it came back graded 9.6.
I think that´s pretty good, all things considered.
