This one-shot special eluded me as a kid but I found a reader copy several years later. The Funeral for a Friend storyline can be read without this or Legacy of Superman #1, but both are nice to have and read for completion sake. This special along with the standalone Newstime, as well as the Bloodlines annuals are forgotten issues to many in the Death and Return of Superman saga. Supergirl/Lex Luthor Special #1 was also not included in any TPB or Omnibus releases until 2016. I must give thanks to Iconic1s, who supported my request right away when I asked for this book to be added to the registry set.
