Owner's Description
Issue Thirty-eight of the Sub-Mariner was my first introduction to the character. The book was released, quite frankly before I was. I do no know how I ever got the book, but it was one that I read over and over again...I even relentlessly searched for a 9.8 of that issue, so when I found this point five copy I couldn't pass it up. It also became my earliest copy of this series, the original series I wanted every copy of (other than the New Mutants, but then there was only 14 that I needed) before I went after Volume 1 of Daredevil.
Namor was established as a Mutant. He was already mentioned as "possibly the first known mutant" in the Fantastic Four Annual # 1 Published 7/63.
