X-Men #4 is a huge book, in that it features the first appearances of Quicksilver, Pieter Maximoff, the Scarlet Witch, Wanda Maximoff, Toad, and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, along with the second appearance of Magneto.
Both Quicksilver and the Scarlett Witch would appear in numerous later issues of the X-Men and later as members of the Avengers, starting with Avengers #16. The siblings also became silver screen stars, where most notably the Scarlet Witch is portrayed by Elizabeth Olsen in the films Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014), Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), Captain America: Civil War (2016), Avengers: Infinity War (2018), and Avengers: Endgame (2019) from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Elizabeth Olsen will also reprise the role in the upcoming Disney+ series WandaVision (2021) and the film Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022). Quicksilver’s cinematic appearances have been a little less consistent and the character has been used as a prime player by two studios. Aaron Taylor-Johnson portrayed the character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, appearing in Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014) as a cameo and Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015), while Evan Peters portrayed him in the 20th Century Fox films X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), X-Men: Apocalypse (2016) and Dark Phoenix (2019), as well as a cameo in Deadpool 2 (2018). Needless to say, both are huge Marvel characters.
