Owner's Description

"We Released the Beasts of the Golden Charms!" Here's another take on what appears to be a 'cave entrance' composition - similar, but different to issue 49 which was also by Dick & Shelly. This one is substantially better - although all the components are the same: 1 cave, 1 larger-than-man-sized beastie, and two men who have wondered off somewhere they don't belong. But look at this one closer. And ignore the word balloon (each cover has one - and they're both dumb). But the image itself - the beastie is way cooler looking, just the color is better with that awesome gold fur, the texture of the beastie is better, the color contrast too. It has three fingers/claws again though - I'm starting to wonder if the two artists know how to draw a monster hand with more fingers than that. Seriously. The dudes are far more in the foreground providing better focus than issue 49. Lighting, shadows, that frigging awesome plaid cap - the whole cover is the exact same idea - but with awesome execution instead of meh execution.
Side rant - why are pedigreed copies not worth additional points? Like all kinds of stupid signatures are worth bonus points, but not my Mohawk Valley pedigree - side rant over.
Overall - oh yeah - even with the unnecessary word balloon - I think I'm spending a dime on this winner.
