issue #15 is only the second cover with Green Lantern's greatest arch-nemisis, Sinestro. In the lead story, Green Lantern becomes convinced that his old foe Sinestro is loose and attacking him from afar. But, when trailing him to the universe of Qward, he is lured into a world where everything but its inhabitants is colored yellow.
This is a tough book to find in high grade. For many years, we owned the Pacific Coast 9.4, which was the nicest example in existence. But a 9.6 emerged a few years ago and sold for about $20,000 in a very competitive auction, Sometimes early highest graded GLs go for nothing, while at other times the prices go crazy, like they did for that book. We fortunately were not the winner of that auction.
Well, as it has happened so often to us on the other side, the 9.6 #15 did not stay King for too long, as a second one emerged in 2022 and we were lucky enough to get it at less than 40% of the price of the first one. We acquired the book from the 1/14/2022 Heritage Auction.
