Daredevil #8 features the origin and 1st appearance of Stilt-Man (Wilbur Day)!
Overstreet 2023 NM- 9.2 value = $425.
According to the CGC Census Report as of Tuesday, August 22, 2023, out of a total of 1,251 Universal copies graded, only 47 copies were graded in 9.4 with only 32 copies graded higher: 24 in 9.6 and 8 in 9.8!
With these statistics in mind, this represents an impressive rarity factor of only 3.76% of the total population!

Published in June of 1965, Daredevil #8 introduces us to another original Daredevil villain—Stilt-Man AKA Wilbur Day!
The beautiful Wally Wood cover features superb perspective, as Stilt-Man ascends high into the clouds peering down at The Man Without Fear, after elongating the metal telescopic legs of his armored battle suit!
The light gray background color is subtle yet powerful, as it brings out the deep red and black colors featured on the Daredevil logo, his suit, and on the *EXTRA* headline of the “New York Daily Press” Newspaper, which boldly reads: DAREDEVIL VS. STILT MAN!
Furthermore, Stilt-Man became a reoccurring Daredevil villain, and made his next seven follow-up appearances (within the title) in issues #26—#27, Daredevil Annual #1, #48, #67, #102 and #186!
I personally LOVE Stilt-Man covers and they are highly underrated! Moreover, there is also a possibility that he will make his MCU debut in a future Daredevil episode, so when that happens…this book will explode!
In closing, I purchased this PERFECTLY WRAPPED & CENTERED copy from eastsidewarrior (via eBay) in March of 2022! I am super proud to own this immaculate copy and look forward to watching it appreciate each year!
